Power Zone Instructor Review

Erik Jäger and Sam Yo started teaching Power Zone classes at the same time last June; but, I just now took one of Erik’s classes. Mostly because most of his classes where tagged as in German. So without any furter ado, here’s my review:

Erik Jäger: The Happy Giant

Previously Erik was a personal trainer (to the German stars)

The dude is cut, chiseled, ripped, pick your term. Honestly though not very long into the class you will realize Eric is just a fun loving guy who brings a ton of enthusiasm to the class.

Similarities to Olivia jumped out during the class, such as they are both freakishly fit, bring a ton of energy, and will light heartedly reference Matt when breaking from “the PZ plan”.

Even though he comes from a personal trainer background his style almost makes you forget you’re training.

Riding on the beat of the music is not required in his class; the music just brings more energy. Though one song was in German. Even though the beat was great, I kept trying to understand what was being said (I’m like Christine, I listen to the lyrics).

To get a (good) feel for Eric try the same 30 minute endurance ride from 11/12/22 that I just rode.

Scree shot of 30 min Power Zone Endurance Ride 11/12/2022

Look for an Eric class when you want a fun time or need a little motivation to get you (yes, I’m going to say it) pumped up. But, make sure you know if it is in German or English.

Power Zone Instructors

You can find my thoughts on the other PZ instructors in my original PZ Instructor review and from a December update which included Sam (Y2UK).

As always, if you see KingWink on the leaderboard, send me a high five!
