Power Zone No-No?

Is it ever excusable to drop to zero during a Power Zone ride?

Graph of my 60-minute ride
My output goes to zero for two minutes

My excuse

I realized it was my wife’s birthday and I’d forgotten to say “Happy Birthday” when I saw her before getting on the bike. So I got off and went upstairs to tell her.

Luckily I was just finishing the first zone 3 interval in a 60-minute ride, so while missing a little zone 2 time is not ideal, I still had a really good sweat by the end.

Must stop reasons

Chest pain

Shortness of breath/dizziness

Vision issue (blurred, tunnel, etc)

And any other case where continuing puts your health at risk

Parent traps

School calls to say your kid is sick

Nap time ends too soon

Any significant injury to a kid in the house

House problems

Power goes out

Hot water heater is leaking

Fire

Husband traps

You haven’t done that thing you said you’d do

Wife traps

none

More?

What else am I missing? If you think of one, serious or humorous, leave me a comment.

And, as always, if you see KingWink on the Here Now leaderboard send me a High Five.
